GovUnpacked ("we," "us," "the site") is an independently operated informational website about government contracting. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use the site. GA4 collects anonymized data including pages viewed, time on page, referring source, device type, and approximate geographic region. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally. Google's privacy policy applies to their processing of this data.

Cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. These are first-party cookies managed by Google. We do not set any additional tracking cookies. If you visit the site through an affiliate link to a third-party product, that third party may set their own cookies per their own privacy policy.

What we do not collect

  • We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal contact information unless you voluntarily email us.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties for marketing purposes.
  • We do not run retargeting ads or build user profiles.
  • We do not use fingerprinting or any cross-site tracking beyond standard analytics.

Third-party links

This site links to government websites (SAM.gov, SBA.gov, USAspending.gov, etc.), software tools, and other external resources. Once you leave GovUnpacked, the privacy policies of those sites apply. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, the affiliate program may set a cookie to track the referral. Children's privacy

GovUnpacked is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
