What we recommend and why

Affiliate commissions do not influence our recommendations. We recommend tools and services based on their usefulness to small business owners working in government contracting. If a free tool does the job, we say so -- even when a paid alternative would earn us a commission.

When we compare multiple tools (like government contract search engines), we evaluate them on features, price, and suitability for small businesses. If we have an affiliate relationship with one of the tools, that does not give it favorable treatment in the comparison.

Programs we participate in

GovUnpacked may participate in affiliate programs offered by government contracting tools and software platforms, business formation services, and other products relevant to our content. Specific affiliate partnerships may change over time.

As a general rule: if we link to a paid product or service, assume the link may be an affiliate link.

Your trust matters more than commissions

GovUnpacked's value is built on trust. If we recommended bad products for the commission, readers would leave and never come back. That math does not work. Every recommendation on this site is something we would tell a friend who asked us for advice.
